NCC Group’s Black Hat Europe team
Matt Hull, Global Head of Threat Intelligence
Matt will deliver our talk in Business Hall C at this year’s event. Prior to his current role, Matt was a penetration tester, and before that spent over twelve years within UK law enforcement where he specialised in covert policing, intelligence operations, threat management, and investigations in to serious organised crime.
Matt is a member of CREST’s Cyber Threat Intelligence Professionals committee, and is a Guest Lecturer at the University of Chester. Matt is a regular speaker at cyber security events, discussing topics such as Threat Intelligence, Cyber Crime, and Online Investigations.
Matt is also the ‘Digital Intelligence’ expert on Channel 4’s Hunted, and Celebrity Hunted TV series, and will be on hand when filming for the new series starts in the spring of 2023.
Stephen Bailey, Senior Advisor and Global Privacy Lead
Stephen leads the NCC Group senior adviser team that provides board-level advice and guidance relating to cyber security and privacy.
He is also the Global Privacy Services Practice lead at NCC Group. In this role he is responsible for having oversight of all external delivery activities relating to personal data, including client incidents that require reporting to regulatory authorities.
Stephen is a member of NCC Group’s financial services team and has significant experience of working in the Middle East and was one of the authors of a Gulf state’s national cyber defence strategy and he led an enterprise-wide cyber security review for another Gulf state’s stock exchange. He’s also playing a pivotal role in NCC Group’s support of TikTok’s Project Clover, more details here.
Uniquely, he specialises in the people risk aspects of cyber security and was one of the authors of the UK Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure’s guidance on managing employee risk.
