Fox DataDiode supports one-way file transfer. This enables users or automated processes to send files from one side of the data diode to the other side. This way, users in one network can share files with users or computer in another network, on a file-by-file basis or by use of folder replication.
From a workstation or server in one network, files and folders can be sent to the upstream proxy server using one of several standard protocols. The Fox DataDiode software on the upstream proxy server replicates the files through the hardware data diode, and the downstream proxy receives them. In the downstream network, the files are sent through to a server or made available to users on that network.
