NCC Group announces partnership with Dragos to deliver Operational Technology (OT) resilience

11 november 2024

Today we are pleased to announce a new partnership with Dragos, a global leader in industrial cyber security technology, to safeguard operational technology (OT) environments against the threat of cyber compromise through our Facility Due Diligence (FDD) service.

Today, OT cyber attacks are more prevalent and complex than ever before, with sophisticated malicious actors determined to significantly disrupt operational infrastructure. These attacks can range from infecting manufacturing plants and systems with ransomware to hacking systems that manage public utilities and critical national infrastructure. There is an increasing focus on regulation requirements that underscores the urgent need for organisations to proactively strengthen their cyber security measures.

People-powered, tech-enabled

This partnership brings together the mature, industry-leading Dragos OT cyber security platform with NCC Group’s extensive OT cyber security knowledge and capabilities. Through industry-leading risk assessments delivered by our highly accredited incident responders, engineers, and safety professionals, our FDD service helps clients to rapidly assess the total cyber safety hygiene of their environment, identify improvements to reduce risk, and enhance their ability to respond to a significant compromise.

Our FDD service is essential for establishing a robust and future-proof OT cyber security program. We assess and catalogue an organisation’s assets to gain a clear picture of what they have and what they need to defend against immediate threats. We prepare the ground for enduring security and operational resilience, giving them maximum confidence in their ability to stand up against disruptions.

Kevin Brown, Chief Operating Officer at NCC Group commented:

“In the high-stakes realm of industrial operations, defending OT systems against unique risks is critical, but many organisations can’t even begin to defend their assets without knowing what they have in their OT environment and the risk exposure to their organisation. Rapidly changing regulatory environments and compliance complexity are motivating organisations to adjust quickly, but doing so isn’t easy.

“Combining our people-powered cyber security expertise with leading Dragos technology, we provide organisations with visibility and a sharper insight into their assets and risk exposure, enabling them to secure their operational resilience and fortify their posture against disruptions that impact uptime and revenue.”

Louise Bulman, Vice President of International at Dragos, added:

“Organisations in industrial environments need OT-native cybersecurity technology that is purpose-built to address the needs of critical OT environments. Cyber threats against industrial infrastructure continue to evolve in sophistication and frequency. Our partnership empowers organisations to build cyber assurance and resilience through NCC Group’s market-leading services combined with visibility and monitoring by the Dragos Platform.”
